In West Virginia, bail bond fees are strictly regulated by state law, with a minimum bonding fee of 10% of the total bail amount.

West Virginia law also allows a bond to be financed. A bondsman may accept:

  • At least 3% down at the time the bond is written, and
  • The remaining balance paid over a period not to exceed twelve months

By law, a bail bondsman cannot accept less than 3% down under any circumstances. At Weatherholtz Bonding, we offer the lowest payment plans permitted by West Virginia law, making the process as affordable and manageable as possible.
